Notes for John STAFFORD:
STAFFORDS were weavers in Ireland before coming to Canada.
He was a great Wesleyn Methodist and helped to build the Old Conger Church, which is now the oldest active Methodist Church in the Province of Ontario.
I see by your information that you are familiar with Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte It says that Nancy Brason died at the home of John Henry Stafford 1885. Nancy is buried at White Chapel Cemetery Sophiasburgh beside John Stafford. The inscription says "John Stafford died Aug 17 1837, Nancy Brason died Apr 18 1874. I couldn't get a death certificate for her. It could have been a delayed registration. Mary Black mary.black@@sympatico.ca
