Notes for Theodore Francis "Ted" ROBERTS:
In his own words "Went to Pauline Public Schools & Western Technical School. Took up mechanical drafting. Left home just before i was 16. Worked at various jobs & always tried to better myself. Leg injury kept me out of the war & with Betty we tried several small business ventures never failing but also not to successful either. Our lives were interesting with lots of highs and lows. I had a good girl & we managed a little over 50 years of marriage"
Notes for Beatrice Mary "Betty" HOYLE:
Words from her husband Ted "During the depression years Betty worked as a dining room waitress at good hotels & the last one was the Roay York Hotel, where I worked as an elevator boy. We met & married a few years later. She worked for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan on planes during the war."
