He was probably the "Rich. Hason" listed at Limber Magna in the Protestat
ion Roll of 1641 for Lincolnshire.
The will of Robert Taylor, yeoman, proved 1 Jan. 1648, gave nearly his ent
ire estate to his "wyfe doryty." The will of Doratha Tayler of Bigbie, "wi
ddower," made 18 Oct. 1661, proved 24 March 1661/2, named her three son
s, Robert, Thomas and Edward Tayler; "I do giue to my daughter Ann Hass
on one shilling to be paid to her after my desease"; grandchildren, Rober
t, Edward and Doratha Tayler; "I Giue to gorge Hasson my Gran'chilld Twen
te sillinges to be paid to him at ye Age of one And Twentie yeares"; " I g
iue to Robart Hasson my Gran'Chilld Twentie shillinges to be paid to h
im at ye Age of one And Tentie [sic years." [Consistory Court of Lincol

The will of Sir Edward Rossiter of Somerby, co. Lincoln, Knight, made 15 A
ug. 1668, proved 23 Mar. 1669, gave to "Richard Hassen my Bailiffe at Litt
le Limber five pounts" [ibid., 1669, fo. 7].
The will of Richard Hassen of Cabourn, husbandman, dated 15 May 1682, prov
ed 26 May following, gave to his eldest daughter, Elaizabeth, 30 poun
ds to be paid to her at the next Mayday, and half his household goods, exc
epting two chests and their contents which, with 40 pounds and the other h
alf his household goods, were given to daughter Anne at the age of eightee
n; to his brother Robert's two daughters [not named], a heifer each; to h
is godson, Edward Tailer, a heifer; to "every house of ye poore of Cabourn
e, one strike of barley"; residue to sons George and Roberts, who were app
