He removed to Grasby between 1615 and 1617. In 1619 Thomas Wright and Tho
mas Hassen were churchwardens of Grasby.
His will reads as follows [Consistory Court of Lincoln, Register 1628, I
I, 277]
In the name of God Amen the xvth day of May Anno Dni 1628 I Thomas Hass
en of Gresby in the Cou;nty of Lincoln laborer sick in bodie but of go
od & pfect memorie (God be thanked for it) doe ordayne & make this my la
st will & testament in manner & forme following
ffirst I comit my soule into the hands of Almightie God my Creator a
nd my bodie to be buryed in the Churchyard of Gresby afforesaid.
Item I giue to John Hassan my sonne thirtie shillinge in money & pennewort
hes when he shall come to the adge of xxi years.
Item I giue to Edward Hassen my sonne thirtie shillings to be paide as aff
oresaid.
Item I giue to Robert Hassen my sonne ffortie shillings to be paid as offo
resd.
Item I giue to Richard Hassen my sonne ffortie shillings to be paid as aff
oresaid.d
Item I giue to willm Hassen my sonne ffortie shillings to be paid as affor
esaid
And if it please God that any of my said childre shall depart this lyf bef
ore they accomplish the age of xxi yeares then I will that ther porci
on or porcons shalbe equally deuided amongst the rest of my said children.
Item I giue to Willm Hassen my Brothers sonne one ewe hogg
All the rest of my goods not given nor bequeathed my debts payde my legaci
es discharged and all my funeral expenses deducted I gius to Elizabeth Has
sen my wife whome I make my full & sole Executrix of this my last will & t
estament.

Proved at Tasine the 28th day of July 1628 by the Executris.
He received a legacy in the will of his uncle Richard Hassen. He was list
ed as "Willm Hassen" at Cadney cum Howsham in the Protestation Roll of 16
41 for Lincolnshire.
