Robert STEEN, son of Richard STEEN , was born abt. 1740 in Coleraine, County Antrim, Province of Ulster, Ireland. He married Elizabeth BOYD . He died in PA?. Elizabeth BOYD.

The Steen Family in Europe and America, Volume I, page 196-198: Robert Ste
en probably came to America around 1755, with his brothers, and possibly o
ther members of his family. He may have landed in New York, but soon mov
ed into Pennsylvania, where he settled and raised his family.

The lived near, what was then Chestnut Level, in Lancaster County, Pennsyl
vania; not far from the Susquehanna River. He was a devout Presbyteria
n, a successful farmer, and a very patriotic citizen. At the breaking o
ut of the Revolutionary War, he joined the Colonial Army of Voluntee
rs in Pennsylvania, and continued in the service until American independen
ce was secured. It is reported, he lived to a good old age, but the da
te of his death is not known.
